Informed by user manuals that break down and dissect the item in question, Transport is an experiential typeface specimen.
Transport is a widely recognised typeface that is used on most road signage systems worldwide, but yet very few know its name or origins. In celebration of this universally ubiquitous typeface, I explored and broke down its history in a ‘user friendly’ manual. The zeitgeist behind the size, stock and design system was informed by the purpose of the typeface itself; it was created for the ease of the driver. So, how does the ‘driver’ use this typeface for the best results? One must divulge into this short, but informative, manual to find out just how to operate it.
