Artist Designer

Kia ora, I have recently finished my Bachelors degree in Visual Communication Design with
First Class Honours at Massey University, Wellington. I am a Pākehā Artist Designer with a strong focus on typography, editorial, copywriting, dissemination and speculation, with the ability to shift my knowledge into various other medias and disciplines when needed. My work is primarily focused on ethics that are true to the moral of community, identity, the whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and I wish to work in environments that work with these foundations too.

I am currently available for freelance work.
Please get in touch to collaborate.

VUW Wargaming Society | 2019

Typography | Report Design

Far from warmongers, VUW Wargaming Society is the capital’s premier wargaming club, situated at Victoria University of Wellington. The club uses methods of tabletop gameplay as an educational tool that acts out, analyses and responds to possible scenarios that could occur from a security standpoint for ‘real life New Zealand’. The tool is a simulator of sorts, that can help individuals map out blind spots and prepare for future uncertainty.

I was tasked with designing the layout from scratch of the report findings for the scenario Emperor Penguin. The report is about a matrix exercise, based on an alternate-future scenario setting the conditions for possible great power conflict around Antarctica.
